We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Application Engineering Manager to lead our R&D application engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers focused on developing, testing, and optimizing application-specific solutions. This role bridges the gap between product development and customer needs, ensuring that our innovations are effectively translated into high-performing applications for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of application engineers within the R&D department.
  • Coordinate with product development, sales, marketing, and customer support to align application development with business objectives.
  • Drive the development and validation of application solutions, prototypes, and proof of concepts.
  • Work closely with customers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality application engineering deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Define application testing protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and performance improvement.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in application or systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in product application, customer interfacing, and R&D environments.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive, mobility, industrial equipment, or similar high-tech industries.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Lean product development methodologies.
  • Experience with engineering simulation tools, system modeling, or software development is a plus.
  • Multilingual capabilities or international project experience.
