We seek an exceptional Instructional Designer to lead our English and Language Arts transformation through data analysis, AI innovation, and subject matter expertise. Your mission: double the speed at which students master language and literature.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Analyze student reading and writing data using AI to develop breakthrough instructional strategies that transform English language and literary education
  • Design adaptive AI-powered tools that make grammar intuitive, vocabulary building engaging, and literary analysis accessible across all student levels
  • Create dynamic learning pathways that evolve in real-time, optimizing each student's progression from foundational phonics to complex text analysis
  • Collaborate with educators, linguists, and AI specialists to advance language education methodologies, directly impacting thousands of students
  • Transform literature into interactive, AI-enhanced learning experiences that educate and inspire a passion for reading and writing

  • Managing conventional English curriculums or administrative tasks—your focus will be on innovation and strategic improvement within our accelerated learning model
  • Working in isolation—you'll collaborate with our expert team at the intersection of AI and English education
  • Developing theoretical models without application—every AI solution you create will directly enhance student language skills in measurable, practical ways

Instructional Designer Key Responsibilities

Drive measurable improvements in student English and Language Arts outcomes through AI-driven analysis and implementation, demonstrating a 2x acceleration in skill mastery across reading, writing, grammar, and literature analysis at all grade levels within our innovative learning model.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Literature, Linguistics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience teaching English/Language Arts or developing ELA curriculum with proven impact on learning outcomes
  • Basic coding proficiency in any programming language
  • Experience designing, implementing, or utilizing AI systems for content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and extract actionable insights
  • Superior communication skills with capacity to explain complex English/Language Arts concepts to diverse stakeholders

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
