Job Purpose

The HR Lead, Rare Diseases Europe & Middle East/North Africa (EMEA) will support the EMEA leadership Team and play a crucial role in aligning human resources strategy with the business objectives of the Region, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, processes, and programs. This role will serve as a key partner to both the General Manager EMEA and the Rare Disease BU HRBP and will work in close collaboration and alignment with the Country HR teams to ensure consistency in Rare Disease across the region whenever required.

Furthermore, this role will act as the primary HR point of contact for the countries where there is no local HR team yet.

Acting as a trusted advisor and key business partner to the EMEA Leadership Team, the HR Lead EMEA will be responsible for supporting, leading and implementing strategic initiatives across areas including talent acquisition, talent mapping, talent development, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement, as well as organisational transformation and development. This role will ensure the implementation of HR best practices while fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and high performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business priorities, partnering with the General Manager EMEA, the Heads of Regional Functions, the Cluster/country GMs together with the country HR team, through timely and proactive HR initiatives, practices, processes or policies. Provide counsel by offering the most effective solutions to resolve issues and improve organizational outcomes, short-term as well as matters affecting the company’s long-term objectives, including culture transformation, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Support the General Manager EMEA and Heads of Regional Functions to lead their teams through key HR processes.
  • Actively contribute, in alliance with the Country HR teams, to a high-performing environment, inclusive and diverse team, whether direct or matrix managed, fostering a learning culture which promotes professional development in a highly accountable and psychologically safe environment.
  • Support and advise the end-to-end talent management process, for the assigned perimeter, including talent mapping, acquisition, retention, succession planning, and leadership development to ensure EMEA RD attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
  • Serve as a change agent to support cultural transformation efforts, promoting values and behaviors within the EMEA RD, together with Country HR Teams. Contribute and be an ambassador of RECORDATI’s purpose and values by embracing them, communicating them and supporting their adoption across the organization.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and motivation, using data from employee engagement surveys to gather feedback and develop action plans. Build a strong sense of belonging to the region through EMEA internal communication, townhall, European Annual Conference, GM meetings.
  • Lead the alignment of HR initiatives with EMEA RD business priorities and goals, driving organizational transformation, and fostering “working in a matrix” approach. Oversee annual workforce planning, ensuring efficiency, alignment and consistency across the region.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Prior international experience, working in a matrix, cross-cultural and cross-country environment, able to evidence the ability to navigate complex international HR landscapes to foster global collaboration
  • A track record in change management is critical.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with senior leadership teams and to coach and influence decision making
  • Must have up to date HR Lead experience within Pharma / Life Sciences
