You will join our Interiors Component Development Site and Product Family of Valenciennes Petite Forêt , a key actor in the design and development or interior train parts as well as front ends, with more than 180 people & 22 different nationalities, designer, buyer, industrial, quality, Project Managers & Product Experts , working both for French & International projects.

Is responsible for the industrial validation of assemblies and parts designed by the Component development site for Interiors.

What are my responsibilities?
Purpose of the Job/Objective
Is responsible for the industrial validation of assemblies and parts designed by the Component development site for Interiors.
- Defining the industrial requirements and constraints to be integrated in the design, including logistics ones,
- Validating the product manufacturability and integration in RS, taking into account internal capabilities,
- Checking consistency with integrator site manufacturing process and following its implementation,
- Contributing to definition and continuous improvement of standard solutions.
- Reports to: Industrial manager – Interiors
- Internal Interfaces : Interiors Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Costing, Tender teams, project manager.
- External Interfaces : Suppliers, Customers, supply chain, industrialisation site.
- KPI open issue in FAR
- KPI deliverable on time
- Technical support to manufacturing site
- Define in collaboration with manufacturing site the supply chain strategy : packaging design, parts protection
- Check engineering design (assembly perspective) for assembly time, flexibility and stacks,
- Analyses the impact of proposed technical solutions on :
- Manufacturability : assembly process, assembly hours and standards solutions,
- Logistics and train integration,
- Participates as Industrial representative in Product Design reviews,
- Fulfils and updates the follow-up documentation,
- Ensures the follow-up of 1st parts realisation and setting up of process (FAR),
- Leads industrial process review and the Internal FAI during integration in RS,
- Propose optimized work instructions to site (support, drawings, …),
- Improves the methods, the standards and check-lists based on the return of experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Engineer with experience in industrialisation ( in Railway industry is a plus): good knowledge of joining technologies and assembly technics, Mechanical dimensioning methods, FMEA Methodology, Work analysis.
- Knows and uses CATIA V5, DMA.
- Knows main requirements coming from Logistics instructions and SAP use.
- Able to understand the stack up analysis and mechanical behaviour.
- Able to work in an international environment and matrix organization structure: English spoken and written mandatory, French is a bonus
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Autonomous, results driven and team-oriented personality with strong relationship skills
- Ability to prioritize and to work effectively under pressure to meet the deadlines
- Fast prototyper, likes to experiment in order to quickly show/test new concepts & solutions
- Agility in term of time range during travel
- Travels: national & international : internal meetings, customers visits, first assembly > 25% of the time ( possibility having several travels in a short period if requested by the project)
