SURVISION, a high-tech company based in Nanterre, Hauts-de-Seine, is seeking a Director of Information Systems (DSI). Although small in size (around fifty employees), SURVISION is large in its ambitions and the range of IT issues it faces. In addition to the usual issues related to an internal IT system, SURVISION has implemented a cloud service platform, has subsidiaries abroad (United States), and sells its solutions worldwide.

Profile Sought

With specialized training in this field, the candidate will have initial experience as a CIO in a similar environment if possible. He or she must speak and write fluent English and French. Travel to France, Europe, and the United States will occur 4 or 5 times a year.

SURVISION's CIO oversees the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the efficient operation of systems, networks, and applications. This role involves developing and implementing technology strategies and maintaining the overall security and integrity of the company's IT environment, including selecting and managing external service providers where appropriate.

Main Activities

Infrastructure management:

  • Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure the reliability and efficiency of hardware, software, networks and servers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand and meet technology needs.
  • Maintain information systems mapping and asset inventories.

Security And Compliance

  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's systems and data.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments and define and implement associated corrective measures.

System Administration

  • Manage and support servers, databases and network infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve issues quickly.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures.

Technological Strategy

  • Develop and implement the organization's IT strategy in line with overall business objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Supplier Management

  • Evaluate and select technology vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Manage relationships with external partners to ensure the delivery of quality services.

User Support

  • Oversee the IT support function, ensuring timely resolution of user issues.
  • Provide technical support and advice to end users.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to improve staff computer literacy.

Project Management

  • Participate in the choice of IT management solutions.
  • Manage their implementation.
  • Ensure the integration of different systems and workflows to ensure optimal ergonomics and contribute to the overall efficiency of the company.

The DPO function also reports to the CIO. Indeed, at SURVISION, the concept of DPO covers an essentially technical and IT reality.
