Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to drive the development and delivery of innovative features for the Streaming back end components of our Software-as-a-Service platform, MK.IO and Beam. In this role, you will coordinate efforts among the Streaming engineering team, oversee the packager component lifecycle and any network related aspect that pertain to this component, such as CDN integration, Cloud platform architecture and development. Responsibilities includes backlog management and prioritization, bug qualification and triage, delivery and rollout planning, scrum organisation. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on cutting-edge SaaS solutions in the media and streaming industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Work within the team and various external stakeholders to create project plannings and backlog that support shared goals and synchronize with all the other MK.IO & Beam teams, adapt smoothly to changes, and help everyone stay on track.
  • Prioritization and Work Sequencing: Collaborate within the Streaming team and with external stakeholders to organize and sequence work across multiple projects and programs, ensuring everyone stays informed while minimizing disruptions and balancing shifting priorities.
  • Time Management and Scheduling: Support the team, with the agile method, in organizing tasks, setting achievable timelines, and keeping schedules aligned while ensuring open communication among everyone involved.
  • Quality and Timely Delivery: Focus on delivering quality releases while providing support and guidance to meet deadlines confidently.
  • Risk Management: Work with the team to identify potential challenges early and negotiate practical solutions to reduce impacts.
  • Learning and Improving: Within the agility framework, encourage feedback to continuously improve how things are done and create a positive, supportive space for improving.
  • Technical knowhow: Capable of using, configuring and demonstrating the Streaming team composants into MK.IO or Beam
  • Deliver in the Cloud : Follow the various cloud deployments for all our customers, from feature recollection to managing deliveries and operations (bug triage, bug analysis) in the cloud with good knowledge of the cloud specificities.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Essential
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or related field highly preferred
    • Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role
    • Excellent planning and organizational abilities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience of fostering cross-group collaboration.
    • Excellent capacity to learn how our components work and adapt
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to adapt and to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
  • Desirable
    • Technical knowledge of Cloud technologies and Cloud vendors
    • Domain knowledge within broadcast networks and/or IP networks
    • Domain knowledge with packaging, streaming, CDN and other networking components
    • Troubleshooting capability with common OTT delivery formats, such as HLS and cloud deployment mechanisms such as Kubernetes and Kubernetes Operators
    • Familiarity with tools/software needed for project management, especially Agile, CICD, Azure DevOps
Location

Rennes (France), Hybrid required in office 2-3 days per week
