Job Description
Within a team of 8 lawyers, in close coordination with the Senior Legal Counsel – Global Sales & Revenue Management, Loyalty and e-commerce, and the Legal Counsel Partnerships, loyalty and global sales , the Junior Legal Counsel participates to the deployment of the e-commerce strategy of the Group and is responsible for addressing legal matters submitted by the Group e-commerce team related to the web direct and more generally to B2C matters.
Under the supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel - Global Sales & Revenue Management, Loyalty & e-Commerce the Junior Legal Counsel – Sales & e-commerce shall :
- Prevent, navigate and resolve legal issues,
- Review and update of the websites' General Terms and Conditions of Sale, General Terms and Conditions of Use and legal notices,
- Coordinate the digital teams on adapting the group's websites to new legislation,
- Follow-up and update training materials/guidelines relating to site compliance and provide regular training to the business teams, when necessary, on new legal or regulatory developments,
- Support the teams with regards relationships with authorities and administrations (DDPP, DGCCRF, EU Commission),
- Advise and support teams on consumer law aspects (commercial offers, game rules, etc.),
- Actively monitor regulatory developments (in the hotel sector) and best practices relevant to the Group including making proposals in order to ensure that any regulatory changes are anticipated and managed,
- Actively support in the deployment of the use of the digital tools used at Group level, in particular the Global Contracting Policy,
- Actively participate in the drafting and regular updates of templates necessary for the sales team to reach business autonomy, in line with the Group Global Contract Policy,
- Any other task which may be deemed fit to protect the reputation and assets of the Group.
The Junior Legal Counsel must have strong knowledge of distribution, consumer and general commercial law.
Qualifications
Background / Experience
- Master law degree in Contract, e-commerce, consumer and/or Economic Law as well as International Business Law, ideally with double cursus
- 2 to 5 years of previous experience in-house or in private practice
- Experience in international business law, distribution, consumer & general commercial laws as well as in pre-litigation
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders in an international and multicultural environment
