The firm is a leading European healthcare-specialized investment firm with dedicated venture capital and buyout platforms, managing over €1.6 billion in assets under management. The venture capital team focuses on innovative medical solutions, typically investing in Series A rounds with commitments up to €15 million per company.
The internship provides comprehensive exposure to venture capital investment activities, including deal identification, analysis, and execution. Interns become integral team members with high levels of interaction with investment professionals, support functions, and external industry experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate deal flow through identification of new investment opportunities, conducting proactive searches in priority segments according to team-defined criteria
- Analyze deal flow by conducting weekly pre-screening before reviewing opportunities with the investment team
- Support due diligence processes, including business plan assessment and financial modeling
- Provide ongoing support to portfolio companies within the firm's investment portfolio
- Advanced undergraduate studies in Finance, Economics, or Business, ideally with scientific or medical background
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international team
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated, proactive, and dedicated approach to work
