Job Description
You are joining the Market Abuse Monitoring team as a compliance officer in market surveillance. This team is in charge of carrying out investigations and analyzing transactions in order to detect possible attempts at market manipulation or insider trading
On a daily basis, your tasks are to:
- Address the escalation and closure of alerts regarding market surveillance, relating to potential market abuse in connection with the monitoring team in Porto and other regional experts;
- Ensure that surveillance alerts are processed correctly and on time;
- Contribute to the drafting of suspicious transaction reports sent to the regulator;
- Contribute to the response to regulators' requests;
- Contribute to the configuration of the monitoring system;
- Participate in the evolution of surveillance systems (contribute to the implementation of tools);
- Identify areas for improvement in the monitoring system and participate in their implementation in partnership with the 1era line of defense, the Compliance Advisory and the IT team;
- Adapt monitoring processes according to new regulatory provisions;
- Participate in the testing of new tools, new features, or bug fixes implemented by the IT team.
As a compliance officer in market surveillance, you participate in the optimization of the operation of the operational system of market surveillance to detect potential breaches.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

With a higher education, you have proven experience in the field of combating market abuse.
You master:
- Market finance activities;
- Financial products belonging to different asset classes;
- The analysis and identification of complex situations and fraud risks);
- Various monitoring systems (Actimize, Smarts, Trading Hub, etc.) and you know how to apprehend and evaluate data and alerts from such systems.
You have excellent interpersonal skills, a very good ability to listen; you are:
- Collaborative and motivated by sharing expertise and managing transformation projects;
- Motivated by teamwork;
- Responsive and adaptable.
You are proficient in English with a C1 level.
