Global Category Buyer Natural Specialties F/M/D

Develop and implement strategies (and related tactical plans) to source critical/complex raw material categories for the Natural Specialties category, secure supply for those categories in line with business plan and to support fragrance Ingredients competitiveness on the market under supervision and guidance of the Sr Category Manager.

The role is open in the following locations: Mouans-Sartoux, Avignon, and Argenteuil

In this exciting role, you will:

Sourcing Strategy

• Manage the category in alignment with the current procurement strategy
• Drive the development and implementation of RM category strategies
• Analyze market and implement risk management strategies for the portfolio of Natural specialties (essential oils and solvent extracts)
• Lead sourcing strategy development within cross functional team for key categories
• Drive sourcing strategy implementation by leading major RFQs and key negotiations

Portfolio Management

• Negotiate contracts globally
• Ensure adequate contract cover for materials and supplier compliance to contracts
• Select, manage and audit suppliers
• Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and actively involve creation and manufacturing in development of optimization plans
• Own key supplier relationship, and lead supplier conflict resolutions
• Ensure vendor performance at target levels
• Manage critical supply issues related to quality, availability to find the best solution with internal stakeholders and suppliers

Stakeholder Relationship

• Communicate to key internal stakeholders/Senior Global Category Manager any market conditions changes which may affect the Business
• Actively support the responsible sourcing projects implementation & provide information to Procurement Sustainability Manager when needed
• Actively support the innovation team on their development projects by identifying the right source of supply and procuring the raw material needed.
• Work on Scope 3 improvement with suppliers to reach our targets on CO2 emissions

Cost Optimization

• Provide sufficient information for business planning process
• Develop cost reduction projects
• Provide price forecast and market trends for key commodities

Travel

You have:

• University degree in Procurement or equivalent experience
• Agronomy background would be an asset
• 5 years' experience in Procurement and/or functional experience
• Has handled a portfolio of RMs and has experience of at least 3 years of negotiating contracts independently
• International exposure in previous role
• Fluent in English and French, other languages a +
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Cultural awareness and adaptable to fast changing business requirements
• Passion for success with a high energy level
