At Horizon, we help financial institutions innovate faster by providing reliable software and clear, accessible documentation. Our objective is to make our documentation more effective, easier to consult, and easier to maintain.
The Role
During this internship, you will contribute to two key projects:
- Identification of incorrect or missing documentation: You will design a prototype tool capable of analyzing differences between documentation and customer support responses, and identifying portions of code whose behavior or parameters are not documented. Ideally, the tool will also be able to propose a draft of documentation.
- AI-optimized search: You will design and implement an intelligent search engine based on generative AI technologies, including similarity search and automatic image description. The objective is to make our documentation more relevant, intuitive, and accessible to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop a prototype tool to analyze documentation gaps and discrepancies with support responses
- Identify code portions where behavior or parameters lack documentation
- Design and implement an AI-powered search engine using generative AI technologies
- Implement similarity search functionality
- Develop automatic image description capabilities
- Contribute to concrete and impactful projects
- Pursuing a Master's level degree (M1 or M2) in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, data analysis, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of Python programming
- Familiarity with common tools and frameworks (git, Linux, etc.)
- Comfortable collaborating and solving problems with different team members
- Fluent English (mandatory)
- Experience with NLP and machine learning frameworks
- Familiarity with FAISS, Azure OpenAI, or similar vector search technologies
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of OpenAPI specifications
- Background in financial markets or front office operations
- Practical experience in development and/or data analysis with cutting-edge technologies (Python, NLP, FAISS, Azure OpenAI, GitLab CI/CD, OpenAPI)
- Technical and functional skills development in the financial domain
- Exposure to a rich technical environment including real-time systems and functional programming
- Mentorship from experienced developers
