Senior Manager, Customer Development- Europe

We are growing! We are currently looking to hire an experienced Senior Manager, Customer Development for our Paris office.
Reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer, you will lead selected business development priorities and support the broader Customer Development team in accelerating CXG's growth across Europe.

What you will be doing
Your primary mandate will be to open and develop high-value opportunities within specific priority verticals, named accounts, and strategic growth initiatives defined by the Chief Customer Officer. You will bring a strong hunter mindset and an established network within the luxury and premium ecosystem, while working closely with the existing Customer Development team to strengthen our pipeline, respond to strategic opportunities, and position CXG as a long-term partner.
Your daily tasks will involve:
- Translating the strategic growth priorities defined by the Chief Customer Officer into focused business development plans for selected verticals, markets, and target accounts.
- Leveraging your established network and market credibility to secure access to senior decision-makers and create new opportunities with high-potential luxury and premium brands.
- Building and maintaining a qualified new-business pipeline, with a strong focus on originating new relationships, opening doors, and converting priority prospects into clients.
- Supporting the wider Customer Development team on strategic pursuits, including account research, opportunity qualification, pitch preparation, and coordinated responses to requests for proposal and competitive tenders.
- Leading the full commercial cycle for assigned opportunities, from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, tender response, negotiation, and closing.
- Designing compelling, insight-driven and commercially sound proposals that articulate CXG's differentiated value, with appropriate pricing, margin, scope, and contractual alignment.
- Promoting a cross-practice approach and actively supporting the go-to-market of CXG’s new solutions by connecting client needs to our expertise across Measurement, Academy, Customer Insights, and Consulting, and translating them into integrated, multi-practice commercial opportunities.
- Working closely with market Customer Success, regional leaders, Operations, and Practice Leads to build integrated solutions that are relevant, feasible, and impactful.
- Ensuring structured handovers to Customer Success and remaining involved during the early stages of the client relationship to protect commercial commitments, revenue, and client trust.
- Representing CXG in relevant industry events and senior client environments, while sharing market intelligence, relationships, and best practices with the Customer Development team.
Requirements
What you will bring along
This role is designed for an experienced business developer who combines a strong hunter mentality, an active senior-level network, and the ability to collaborate effectively on complex opportunities. You should also bring:
- A Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in business development, strategic sales, account development, or consulting, ideally within an international environment.
- Deep knowledge of the luxury, retail, or premium services ecosystem, supported by an established and demonstrable network of senior decision-makers.
- A proven track record of originating opportunities, winning new logos, and closing high-value, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Strong experience preparing and leading complex proposals, requests for proposal, and competitive tender responses in a consultative or multi-solution environment.
- The credibility and influencing skills required to engage C-level, regional, and operational stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and commercial judgment, including the ability to manage pricing, margin, scope, and contractual discussions.
- Excellent presentation, storytelling, and written communication skills.
- A high level of ownership, autonomy, resilience, and accountability, combined with a collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute to shared team priorities.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a strong advantage.
