Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer- Paris and Global Head of Operations-London

The Head of Studio works closely with the Chief Creative Officer (CCO), Global Head of Operations (GHO) and the Head of VFX-Paris to provide operational leadership and delivery of the strategic vision for our Paris studio. You will play a key role in driving studio growth and building a strong collaborative and high performing culture.

Requirements

  • Oversee the Paris management committee - chairing meetings, acting as a sounding board and implementing local initiatives to ensure continuous improvement, escalating to the CCO, GHO and Chief People Officer (CPO) when necessary.
  • Join the CSE meetings acting as the management representative. Ensuring a positive working relationship with CSE members and working with the CPO and Paris People Manager to drive forward agenda items.
  • Line management of the Paris Studio Manager and Operations Coordinator supporting the team to ensure the Paris studio is fully serviced.
  • Take ownership of Studio Facilities, Health & Safety, and legal compliance, ensuring the studio operates in line with regulatory requirements and best practice at all times.
  • Act as the Artist Manager for a small number of Paris based artists.
  • Work alongside the CCO where necessary to maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Work with the recruitment team and Global Head of Resourcing to proactively promote vacancies and maintain strong connections with candidates to support overall studio growth.
  • Build an overall understanding of local hiring, re-hiring and career progression needs for the studio and work with the CPO and CCO to progress, owning the continuous movement of talent at a local level.
  • Act as a key local partner to the CPO, taking direction from the Company People Strategy. Own and drive close collaboration with the Paris People Manager and Studio Manager, ensuring alignment and consistent execution of People initiatives at a studio level.
  • Help raise the profile of OOU in Paris; hosting internal events and attending external events and networking opportunities.

Experience Needed

  • Previous experience in the VFX Industry is essential.
  • Strong employment law and contract knowledge.
  • Previous line management and understanding of how to motivate and support teams is essential.

Hours and location

Our core hours are 9:30am to 18:30pm, or 10:00am to 19:00 pm Monday to Friday. We have a great office in the 20th arrondissement, where our artists are based.

You would be required to work from the office in Paris at least 4 days per week.
