About the Role
Our client is an established industrial manufacturer operating in a technically demanding production environment with a strong focus on precision, process reliability, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the optimization and modernization of manufacturing operations. The role focuses on improving machining processes, developing production cells, supporting equipment and tooling decisions, and driving efficiency through Lean and industrial engineering methods. You will work closely with multidisciplinary technical teams across production, engineering, and industrialization.
CONTRACT: Permanent, full-time
LOCATIONS: On-site, Jura canton, Switzerland
PROCESS: Initial qualification followed by client interviews
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize precision machining processes and production workflows.
- Support the design and implementation of new production cells.
- Contribute to Lean and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of production equipment.
- Improve factory layouts and manufacturing flow.
- Develop and validate tooling and fixturing solutions.
- Review and improve machining logic and CNC programming sequences.
- Coordinate technical activities across production and engineering teams.
- Support industrialization and production-performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience in industrial production environments.
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a closely related function.
- Strong hands-on experience with precision machining equipment, including lathes, milling centers, and grinding systems.
- Proven experience with Lean / continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with production equipment, tooling, and manufacturing-process optimization.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
- Full professional proficiency in French.
