As Quandela continues to expand internationally, the company is operating in an increasingly complex regulatory and geopolitical environment. We are looking for an Export Control Officer to structure and operate Quandela’s export control framework and support the company’s international development.

This is a hands-on role for someone able to translate complex export control regulations and geopolitical developments into clear assessments, practical processes and actionable guidance for the company.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Map and maintain the company’s export control exposure across its products and technologies, partners and suppliers, including product classification, and licensing requirements
• Monitor relevant regulatory, sanctions and geopolitical developments, assess their potential impact on the company’s activities, and provide clear recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Build practical export control processes and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on export control requirements, including for sensitive transactions and international projects. Coordinate export license filings where required, in cooperation with Legal, and relevant public authorities.
• Prepare short guides, awareness materials and training sessions for internal stakeholders when needed.
• Run periodic checks to ensure export control assessments, decisions and records are properly documented and kept up to date.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in export controls, including experience within a government department, public administration or other state institution is mandatory.

• Strong working knowledge of U.S. export control rules, including the EAR, and good understanding of EU export control rules and sanctions.

• Experience assessing products, technologies, partners or suppliers from an export control perspective.

• Ability to build clear, practical processes in a growing company.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with technical, legal, commercial and operational teams.

• Professional fluency in English and French.

Nice to Have

• Experience in deeptech, defense, aerospace, cybersecurity, AI, semiconductors, or another sensitive technology sector.
